To raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer, cashing in that human (male) truth that nothing is more satisfying than crushing your best mate, was a no brainer.

The idea was to build a platform where anyone could challenge their mates to just about anything, and (hopefully) gain some bragging rights for a good cause.

Once the challenge was made and accepted through the MvM site, an automated funding microsite was created which doubled as the platform for sending out social media feeds inviting donations.

Endorsed by TV, Radio and music celebrities, as well as the most powerful man in the land, the Australian cricket captain, the project garnered much PR from the major TV networks, local and regional radio stations and most metro press.

The Big Aussie Barbie leveraged Australia’s love of outdoor entertaining.

My role in this and subsequent BAB campaigns was to act as producer/director, populating the website and social media feeds with films educating the viewer on everything from how to run an event to creating personalized invitations and PR kits.

Participation has grown by around 20% year-on-year and has become a permanent fixture on the fund raising calendar.
